Seeing red or not seeing red, as the case may be. Is it me? source: champweb.net Or is anyone else failing to see the alternate tire option when it's on the Champ Cars? Don't get me wrong. Anything that adds an element of strategy, or unknown to Champ Car racing is a step forward. Anything that helps a faster driver overtake a slower driver... I'm right there... rooting for the change. So grab a set of alternate Potenzas, and make a charge for the front. But... there's a problem. At least from my vantage point. It's those little red slashes going round, and round at 200 mph. And if the red slashes are supposed to make it easier for the viewer at home, or the fan in the stands to realize the strategy of the pursuing driver, and if the red slashes are supposed to add to the suspense.... I'm missing both elements. So with absolutely no technical knowledge of the implications of the following suggestion.... I propose that Bridgestone make the entire sidewall... red. If I still can't see the red, then we've proven I'm blind. Speaking of blind, someone would indulge me, and quickly show me the announcement that proudly proclaimed that the Champ Car World Series was going to be racing in Seoul, Korea.
