It was an unfortunate way to start the season as Conquest Racing rookie driver Matt Halliday was forced out before the end of the first lap. source: Conquest Racing As the green flag began the start of today's race in Las Vegas, Halliday found himself cornered into the wall as fellow driver Graham Rahal crashed out in the opening lap. "I came in knowing I had a lot to learn for my first Champ Car race but unfortunately at the start there was an accident. The car in front of me was Rahal and when he crashed and hit the wall, everyone sort of crowded me and I had no where to go and I hit the wall quite hard. I am looking forward to moving to the next race in Long Beach," said the 42 BELOW Cosworth/DP01/ Bridgestone driver Matt Halliday. The team is now heading to Long Beach for the 2nd round of the Champ Car World Series.
