Team Australia has announced that it will campaign a third car for this year's Toyota Atlantic Champion Charles Zwolsman in this weekend's final round of the Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford in Mexico City. source: teamaustraliamotorsport.com The talented 26 year-old Dutchman took this year's Atlantic series by storm winning three races, five poles and eight podiums during the 12-round series. Zwolsman will have his first taste of a Champ Car in a special session in Mexico from 10am-4pm on Thursday, which has been designed for him personally. Team Australia co-owner Derrick Walker said he was delighted that his Indianapolis-based operation could provide an opportunity for Zwolsman to have his first taste of a Champ Car this week. "Charles has obviously done an outstanding job in the Toyota Atlantic Series this season and we are pleased that we are in a position to offer him a ride in Mexico," said Walker. "When Kevin Kalkhoven approached us about this activity we definitely saw the merit in it. "I think this further demonstrates Champ Car's support of the Atlantic series and its determination to ensure that it is the number one feeder series to Champ Car in the future. "That is further enhanced when you consider the lengths they have gone to with the six-hour session on Thursday in an effort to ensure Charles get the most from the experience. "We are more than happy to play a role in making that happen in Mexico and into next season when we will run two new Atlantic cars of our own." Team co-owner Craig Gore said that things like putting a third car together for Zwolsman were what Team Australia is all about. "Team Australia is all about providing opportunities for young talent and we are more than happy to welcome Charles into our team this weekend," said Gore.
