Exclusivity at a Non-Exclusive Price

Do you want exclusivity? Not just the kind of vehicle that commands respect through bold styling, dynamic performance and exquisite luxury, but one that you won't find coming around the corner every few minutes?

If you are looking for a car that embodies bold styling, dynamic performance and luxurious features, that's also unique in its market segment, the Q45 might be what you've been searching for. (Photo: Trevor Hofmann, Canadian Auto Press)
The answer to that query has often caused well-heeled consumers to investigate brands such as Bentley and Rolls Royce, with price tags that often resemble the gross national product of small countries. As an alternative, in case your bank balance hasn't quite reached stratospheric levels, there's another car worth considering.

Exclusivity anyone? There were only one hundred and six Q45s sold throughout Canada in 2002, how's that? (Photo: Trevor Hofmann, Canadian Auto Press)
Infiniti's Q45 offers performance and luxurious appointments that approach the ultra-luxury brands, with an exclusivity that nears boutique automotive status. How exclusive? Despite being equal to, and in some cases more advanced than its luxury rivals, Nissan's premium brand only sold 106 Q45s in Canada for 2002, down from 190 in 2001, the previous year being substantially higher due to the updated model's first year honeymoon status.

The model just hasn't hit critical mass, and until Infiniti's plentiful G35 customer base moves up to claim the brand's top-tier prize, the Q's rarified status is not likely to change dramatically. Therefore, you shouldn't have to worry about parking beside your clone when visiting that important client's office.
