Another point about the “M” goodness is, actually, are, found in the cabin. Clad in sakhir orange full merino leather and alcantara, the X6's interior is an executive's 4-seater wet-dream. From my vantage point on the driver's seat, the x6's dash is neat, uncluttered and all-business. Navigating the iDrive has become somewhat simple; the most important reason for its existence is configurating the steering-wheel mounted “M” button. Simple 'cause everything goes to the Max!

In order to fully enjoy the X6 M's furry, BMW fitted some simply fantastic perches from which we never want to get off. The multiple ways to adjust the seats guarantee comfort, support and a perfect driving position. The “M” sport steering wheel is one of the chunkiest and substantive around; the grip is perfect as hands may get a little damp driving the Emperor’s protégé.

Qualms consist in what is quite possibly the most disastrous rear visibility in any vehicle I have ever driven. Also, rear ingress and egress are hampered by a narrow lower door and sloping roofline. I'm done! Oh, and it's still ugly...

Where M counts
The next item you get with the Mighty “M” is a honkin' massive balls-to-the-wall engine. The X6 M sports a twin-turbocharged 4.4L V8. Believe me, you'll never feel inadequate with these numbers... This Motor erupts with 555 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. Pounding the power into submission on its way to all four wheels is an M Sport 6-speed automatic transmission with a Manual Mode.

Now for a Math lesson. If a 2,415 kg (5,313 lb) Mass can reach 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, how quickly will you soil your pants? Real, real fast! Even if the gentleman rule in Germany dictates that the top speed must be governed at 250 km/h, BMW has devised a clever scheme. I submit that the “1” following the 300 km/h actually indicates Mach 1 (noticed the size of the gap between 280 and 300 and 1, it's identical) and not that the gas tank is full.
