Audi's Tom Kristensen turned the best lap of Thursday's night practice, ahead of the 12 Hours of Sebring, but was driving the only intact R18 e-tron quattro.

In the same session, Loïc Duval, aboard the second of three Audis, collected Nick Heidfeld's Rebellion Racing Lola-Toyota from behind, the German having stopped to avoid a spinning Porsche GT3. Only then, did Marcel Fässler, in the third Audi, hit Duval – who was trying to get going again.
Audi mechanics were able to send Fässler back on track, but Duval stayed on the sidelines.

So many other red flags hindered the session that the officials had to extend it by 20 minutes.

"Everything didn’t go completely smooth for all of us at Audi," pointed Kristensen out on the ALMS website. "You can call it action-packed or you can call it a nightmare. It is really difficult to find out way around here with that many cars."

Stéphane Sarrazin was fastest of the P2 class, in his Starworks Motorsports HPD ARX-03b, while Joey Hand laid down the best time in GT, aboard his BMW Team RLL M3.

The two first practice sessions were also topped by Audi drivers – Romain Dumas and Andre Lotterer.

The final practice session is scheduled for 9:55 pm Eastern Time, and qualifying later Friday at 3:20 pm ET. Saturday, the green flag is set to drop at 10:30 am ET.
