At $28,000 it's not cheap by economy car standards, but that's not the real issue here is it? The more people choose to buy Hybrid vehicles the more will come to market, the cheaper they'll become and the cleaner our world gets. Will those willing to pay the initial premium be revered as pioneering heroes? Many who noticed the Hybrid designation on the rear of my test vehicle offered a sincere thumbs-up, which is reward enough for many. Add to the instant popularity its lowest ongoing fuel costs and upgraded creature comforts and the Civic Hybrid starts sounding like a fairly sound investment.
