Mazda also introduces an all-new feature for 2003, an optional DVD based entertainment system that also plays MP3 encoded audio discs. The system features a seven-inch screen, playback unit and two wireless, infrared, headsets. While a DVD system is indeed a great way to keep the kids entertained on a long trip, my experience has found that once they know they can watch a movie in the comfort of their car seat, they want to view one every time they're in the vehicle, even if its a trip to the neighborhood rec centre a block away.

All 2003 MPVs are covered by a three-year or 80,000 km vehicle warranty that covers every part of the vehicle except those subject to normal wear. Additional warranties cover powertrain and safety restraint components for a period of five years or 100,000 km, body sheet metal perforation for five years unlimited kilometres and selected emission control components for eight years or 128,000 km.

Mazda is definitely keeping up to the Joneses with the 2003 MPV. Only problem is the stiff competition isn't sitting still either.
