Personally, the convenience and added storage capacity of its liftback configuration makes up for any suit hanging

deficits. Popping the hatch and loading in shopping bags was easy, although some might find hefting heavier items over the tall lift-over a challenge. Altogether the RSX allows 504 liters (17.8 cu ft) of luggage with the rear seat upright and 716 liters (25.3 cu ft) when the rear seatback is folded forward, which is about average for this class. While convenient for loading, I like how the liftback configuration adds to the car's overall styling. Of course this element of the car carries over from last year, but I should mention that Acura has made a few changes to bring the RSX Type S up to date halfway through its lifecycle. Along with that lower ride height I mentioned earlier, the Japanese brand added a new side-sill garnish that makes the Type S appear even lower. Other exterior mods include a new sharper nose flanked by new cylindrical design headlight clusters up front, and redesigned taillights, a small decklid lip spoiler and larger

exhaust tip in the rear. That exhaust has been tuned for a sportier sound too, with a larger intake duct and larger tailpipe to improve the mechanical sound, especially noticeable at higher revs. My tester was painted in new Blaze Orange, a softer color than the name might suggest but nevertheless quite brilliant. Another new color is Vivid Blue, similar to hues offered by other carmakers but unique due to its application on the RSX. Magnesium looks like it will be nice too, although none were available to see in the metal. By the way, Magnesium and Vivid Blue are available across the RSX lineup, while Blaze Orange comes only on Type S models.
