Conclusion

In the case of this $52,000 Durango, I found that it came up a little short feature wise: No high intensity discharge headlights, door switches that do not light up and driver-side auto down only power window. In the full-size SUV family, the Durango goes head-on with the likes of the Ford Expedition, the Chevrolet Tahoe/GMC Yukon and the Nissan Armada. The Durango does not really offer anything more than the aforementioned group but it can certainly hold its own. As with many of theses trucks, it is
sometimes difficult not to let the sheer brawniness get to your head when driving this truck. There is a constant feeling of power and road ownership that is hard to ignore. It is easy to understand why these vehicles are so popular.

I averaged over 17L/100 km in my time behind the wheel. I cannot say that I am surprised with the result. I am just beginning to wonder if even a $3 gallon of fuel in the United States will slow down demand for these road monsters. Maybe these types of vehicles should be sold to those that require them for specific means such as delivery or even farming. Reliability of the first Durango was fair so it is safe to assume that this one will do as well.

Good stuff:
Hemi
Interior space

Not so good stuff:
Fuel consumption
Marshmallowy ride
