Along with a power increase to 512 hp from a mere 492 from the 5.0L V10 engine, the Gallardo looses its top. The Spyder uses a power-folding top that lowers itself under the engine cover located behind the passenger compartment. Like most roadsters, the Gallardo features pop-up roll bars and strengthened "A" pillars.
The suspension, steering and transmission have been revised. The Spyder will travel from not-to-60 mph in 4.3 seconds on its way to a top speed of 195 mph with the top in place. If you choose to keep the top down, you will be limited to only 191 mph.
