One, the car must exhibit a strong personality; two, a V8 engine must be available in the list of options; and three, the car must be anything other than front-wheel drive, competent as it may be. It seems that the good people at Acura have trouble understanding this winning formula, as the two previous generations were similarly afflicted. If at first you don't succeed... Acura seems to be taking the expression to heart; we can only hope they won't serve up another 17 generations of the RL.

The power plant and SH all-wheel drive system do wonders for the driving experience.
