The Altima Coupe is basically a two-door version of thesuccessful Altima sedan. Previously introduced at the 2006 Los Angeles AutoShow, the Coupe has a shorter wheelbase than the sedan, as well as shorteroverall length and lower height.
The Sentra SE-R is back for 2008 featuring a 2.5-liter4-cylinder engine that develops 177 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque. TheSpec V model gets 200 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque, as well as a 6-speedmanual transmission.
Also unveiled at the Nissan stand was the Altima Hybrid, whichis equipped with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and an electric drivemotor/generator. Combined, they develop 198 horsepower. A CVT transmission isstandard.
Finally, a sedan version of the Versa subcompact hatchback wasalso presented.
