Saturn has just announced pricing on their European-based 2008 Astra. The cross-cultural car will carry a starting price of under $18,000 and features distinctive style, exciting driving dynamics and economical operation.
The basic XE designated model with a 1.8 litre, 138 horsepower engine and five-speed stick retails at $17,900. Up-level Astra XR comes in a five-door model at $20,490, and there's a sporty three-door model available for $21,255.
Standard features include 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS and traction control, active head restraints, rain-sensing wipers, tire pressure monitoring and six standard airbags- thus demonstrating a comprehensive approach to safety and peace of mind.
"With the introduction of the 2008 Saturn Astra, we now offer Canadians an excellent combination of European style, performance, safety technology and fuel efficiency at an affordable price," said Mike Speranzini, Director of Saturn Canada.
