The high-end Civic
Both cars ride on alloy wheels -- 17 inches for the Acura and 16 for the Honda -- although the former gets wider tires (P215/45R17 vs. P205/55R16) for superior grip. That’s a far cry from the slick rubber wrapping around the 15-inch steel wheels of the Civic DX!

Comfortable interior
In terms of size, the CSX and Civic are actual twins with equally spacious interiors. Four adults can comfortably sit and enjoy long trips. The front-wheel drive components allow a near-flat floor in the back, which provides extra room for the feet and makes the rear seat less uncomfortable for a fifth passenger.

The dashboard is a carbon copy of the Civic’s. Naturally, in Tech trim, it has been reconfigured to accommodate the navigation screen (no such option is available with the Honda). However, said screen is so heavily tilted that it becomes hard to read when sunlight hits the cabin through the standard glass sunroof, causing inconvenient glares.

More than a GPS
Carrying a $3,000 premium, the Tech Package not only includes navigation but also a 160-watt, 6-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3/XM sound system, the always useful high-intensity discharge headlights and some useless fog lights.
