Conclusion
The GS is a smooth operator that will please those who are looking for a lot of comfort and a little sportiness. It’s easy to appreciate its build quality and quiet cockpit, and it makes you feel as though you could drive ten hours straight without feeling tired.
But personally, I’d sacrifice a little horsepower and a little fuel and go for the GS 350, which is still plenty quick and as luxurious, and starts at $52,450. And if you’re wealthy enough to get yourself a $60,000-plus car, are you really concerned about fuel economy?
In my humble opinion, I don’t think so, which means the $63,850 GS 460 should get more attention in showrooms than the hybrid model. But the GS 450h is proof that both fuel economy and performance can be found in a car.
