The Catch
Though more fun to drive than it probably needs to be, there is a catch. Unless the roads beneath are nearly perfect, the ride can become excessively harsh and noisy. The taut smoothness exhibited on flat highways all but disappears over rougher surfaces, and rear passengers commented on roughness and noise entering the cabin through the cargo floor behind them. In all, the added sound effects from the suspension may prove disappointing for those after a Cadillac-like ride.
End of the day, the upsized wheels and low-profile tires should only be considered by those in locales with well-maintained roads. If that’s the case where you live, or you’re fine with the SRX’s standard-sized wheels, it’s a machine that puts up a good fight for your posh-ute buck.
Those after serious styling, a stand-out cabin and advanced new engine technology should definitely check it out.

The SRX should feel comfortable being driven spiritedly, if that’s your thing. |
