Chrysler's midsize Sebring continues to one of the only midsize vehicles to be offered in a full range of 4-door sedans and 2-door convertibles — and convertibles are available in both soft-top and hardtop versions.

For 2010 there are a few new touches, and bit of trim level re-positioning.

Now standard across all models are new seat cloth material (with stain repel), fold flat front passenger seat, and active front-row head restraints.

Cosmetic changes include new-design aluminum wheels, new hood, and a new exterior colour — White Gold Metallic.

On the sedan, the line-up continues to be LX, Touring, and Limited, but Limited is more of a package now than an outright model. The Limited package includes the 235-hp 3.5-litre HO V6, with 6-speed Auto/Stick transmission, dual chrome-tipped exhaust, 18-inch chrome-clad wheels, and heated leather-faced bucket seats.

Standard engine is the 16-valve Dual VVT 173-hp 2.4-litre I4. Optional is the 24-valve FFV (flex fuel) 186-hp 2.7-litre V6. Both are mated to a 4-speed automatic.

Another change: The hardtop version of the convertible is only available on Limited, where it’s standard, along with new 18-inch wheels, and a new instrument cluster with LED lighting. Touring sedan gets standard fog lamps and AM/FM 6-Disc MP3 Radio. LX gets uconnect and SIRIUS Satellite radio packaged into the Hands-Free Convenience Group.

Sebring hasn't been a home run for Chrysler. While a bit shy on interior finesse, it continues to offer good packaging, content, and driving manners for the price, especially as dealers and Chrysler are both keen to move them.

Pricing starts at $23,995 for sedan and $30,665 for the convertible.
