Here is the 2010 Kia VG sedan, the Amanti replacement with almost no camouflage!
Lately we've been referring to this sedan by its internal code name, VG. We now know this sedan will probably not use the Amanti nameplate, but rather something new.
Riding on Hyundai/Kia's new "NF" chassis, shared by the current Sonata sedan, this Amanti replacement will be both wider and longer than the current one.
We've also been told that it will be a much more performance-oriented vehicle this time around. Powering this new sporty sedan will be Hyundai's Lambda 3.8L V6 mated to a 6-speed transmission. Expect horsepower ratings in the neighborhood of 280.
Production of this all-new Kia will start in Korea sometime in the fourth quarter of 2009.
