The Jaguar C-X75 made its North American debut today at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show. Celebrating the brand's 75th anniversary, this concept signals the application of new, more environmentally-friendly technologies in future Jaguar high-performance cars.

Lightweight, mid-mounted micro gas turbines feed the lithium-ion battery pack that powers the car through four separate in-wheel motors, making the C-X75 an all-wheel drive EV.
This green two-seater can reportedly travel up to 110 kilometres in purely electric mode before the micro turbines step in and charge the battery, extending the available range to about 900 kilometres. Back home, the driver would only need to plug the car into a regular power outlet and the battery would fully charge in six hours.
Last month, some online rumours suggested that Jaguar is evaluating the sales potential of a production model based on the C-X75. Anywhere between 1,000 and 2,000 units could be manufactured five to seven years from now.
