Unveiled at the L.A. show by the Italian automaker, this new variant of the Spyder is 143 pounds lighter than the LP 560-4, and weighs in at 3,274 pounds overall. To achieve this, Lamborghini introduced many carbon fiber components inside and out, notably modifying the soft top cover panel, the optional rear wing, the door panels, the centre console as well as the seat frames.

The 5.2-litre V10 engine in the Gallardo Spyder Performante generates 10 extra horsepower, for a total of 570, and gets the car to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Direct injection and an electronic automated gearbox with wheel-mounted paddle shifters provides a limitless power curve and allows an impressive output, according to Lamborghini.
As for styling, the Performante boasts reworked front and rear bumpers, LED headlights and V-shaped nose that gives the car an even more aggressive look. Also included are ultralight 19-inch alloy wheels that are found on the Gallardo Superleggera, which also contribute to the weight savings. Other notable changes have been performed on the car’s aerodynamics in order to improve performance even more.
