The Tribute offers something for virtually any Mazda shopper with a keen sense of year-round adventure. With four or six-cylinder power and available four wheel drive, this roomy and versatile SUV is ready for any daily commute or weekend activities-- regardless of weather or road conditions.

Blocky, athletic and tall, the Tribute leaves little to guesswork about its intentions and capability. Despite styling in line with an authentic sport ute, it also uses chrome, alloy wheels and fog lamps for added street-smart looks, too.

Selection in the powertrain department consists of two engine options. Standard is a 2.5 litre, 171 horsepower inline four cylinder mated to a six-speed automatic transmission for optimized mileage. For more power and confidence during passing or towing, an available three litre V6 spins up 240 horses. Both engines can power the front, or all four wheels.

Inside, look for flexible 5-passenger seating, plenty of storage and an upscale driving environment. Rear seats fold flat to enable nearly 1,900 litres of space for camping gear or supplies, and drivers benefit from cruise control, MP3 playback capability, power accessories and tilt steering. Heated leather seats are available, is as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 6-CD changer, and auxiliary audio input.

On the safety front, traction control, stability control and rollover stability control systems team up with antilock brakes to help prevent dangerous skidding. Those on board are protected by front, side and curtain airbags too, should safe driving and proper tires not be sufficient to prevent an accident.
