Getting better and better
In comparison with similarly-equipped rival SUVs, a full-tilt Chevrolet Equinox LTZ AWD costs $43,310. A Ford Escape Limited 4WD V6 costs $40,249. A Hyundai Santa Fe Limited with Navigation (but without DVD) costs $37,599. A Kia Sorento EX-V6 Luxury with a third-row seat but with no DVD is $39,195. A loaded Toyota RAV4 Limited 4WD V6 without a GPS and a DVD costs $37,240. Well, I guess the Outlander XLS isn’t overpriced after all.

So, the changes to the 2010 model are worthwhile. They make a good SUV even better, and it remains among the best of its class. That’s good for Mitsubishi because the Outlander is arguably the most competitive vehicle in its product line-up, and one that shouldn’t be overlooked by compact SUV shoppers.
