Hey, like the saying goes: “If you have to ask, you can't afford it;” if you have to ask how much fuel this behemoth consumes, you can't handle this truck. Actually, I average about 14 MPG (17L/100km). My buddy's HEMI Power Wagon barely manages 12 MPG (20L/100 km). Can't complain.
Yeah, I really like my Silverado, but I know that it's the older one of the bunch. I hope GM comes out swinging with the next Silverado and Sierra. They've got the mechanics down, but I'd just like more styling inside and out.
MStP: Mr Man knows a thing or two about trucks and his assessment is generally spot on. I'd go so far as to say that the GM truck's weaknesses are what you see; i.e., sheetmetal and various plastics. Technically speaking, it has nothing to envy of its main competitors and if I know GM, the next Sierra and Silverado are going to raise the bar.
