A sport-oriented minivan sounds like an oxymoron to us, but that surely won’t stop Chrysler from introducing an R/T variant to the Grand Caravan line-up.
Over and above the SE, SXT and Crew trims, the R/T will boast 17-inch polished alloy wheels, a body-colour grille, a sport suspension and exclusive interior trimmings.
In addition, features that are optional in the Crew model but are standard in the R/T include: a 115-volt power outlet, a 10-speaker, 506-watt sound system, three-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable and heated front seats, leather upholstery, power-sliding side doors, overhead ambient lighting and a backup camera.
Options include roof rails, a rear-seat DVD player, heated second-row seats, a navigation system, running boards, a power liftgate, a blind-spot monitor, rain-sensing wipers, a load-levelling suspension and a trailer tow package.
The Dodge Grand Caravan R/T starts at $38,495 before tax, freight and delivery charges, and is offered with a choice of 8 colours.
