Great, No Matter What the Size
The fit and finish looks good, but the overall design is starting to look a bit dated as other cars in this class all seem to have just a bit more flash on the inside.

The MSRP for the SE is under $25,000 and that gives you Honda’s 2.4-litre 16 valve, DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine with 177horspower. Surprisingly, the SE comes standard with a 5-speed manual transmission. My test car has the 5-speed automatic, which brings the price up to just under $26,000; the far more popular choice.

As I mentioned earlier, the Accord has always been proficient at everything it does. Not too sporty or too laid back. This is still true for the 2011 model.
This 4-cylinder engine is more than capable. It is quick off the line and provides enough passing power on the highway. The feeling on the road, at any speed is very comfortable.

In the city, the steering is responsive but I am very aware that I am driving a larger car. It feels long when I try and take tight corners.

The seats are very comfortable and with tilt and telescopic steering column as standard on all trims, it is very easy to get a relaxed driving position. The driver’s seat has power height adjustment, which I am grateful for because I needed to have the seat up in order to be able to see easily over the front end.

It really feels like a big jump from the Civic to this car. I am average in height and found it to be very roomy. If you are in the market for a good size family car, the Accord offers plenty of room for driver and all passengers.

The trunk is a decent size, room for 397 litres of cargo. My pet peeve though with most of the cars in this class is the tiny little ‘pass through’ area and that the seats do not split to fold flat. So you may have to choose between a trip to Ikea and taking passengers.
