Far from a compromise
With exceptional stability and handling, the G37x Sport dives head first into corners. The same adjective – exceptional – applies to braking performance and steering precision, both on par with the Germans.

Overall, the gap between the Infiniti and the BMW – still the benchmark in terms of driving excitement – is substantial yet hard to put into words. Okay, I'll give it a shot: unlike the others, the 3-Series feels dynamically organic and creamy-smooth on the road.

At the end of the day, the 2011 Infiniti G37x Sport handles at least as well as every competitor in the premium compact segment. Furthermore, with sleek, racy looks that mean business, it can proudly stand next to anyone – more so than any other Japanese ride.

Now, here's the million-dollar question: what's in a name or badge? How valuable is it really? Different people will give you different answers. Some will admit that the logo on the front grille trumps anything that hides behind it, which is why you'll see folks driving around in a 10-year-old jalopy with a prestigious badge instead of buying a modern and sensible new car. If you're one of them, I can't help you.

Those after a quality sports sedan that does not compromise performance, style or flair, delivers the goods any day of the week and offers a bit more bang for their buck will surely be satisfied with the G.
