The new XJ is a phenomenal car from its rotary JaguarDrive Selector shifter to its virtual instrument display to the supremely comfortable seats and everything else in the mix. It's the answer that was around long before the BMW 7-Series and the Audi A8 as it was an aspirational car, but that beacon has faded.
Times have changed, and this new Jag strikes all the right cords in order to revive that light. It's got styling that will turn heads, while it still remains classy, seductive and almost mysterious.
There is much to like about this car and Jaguar hopes that it will make you want one of their products. I say they're really close to that, all they need to do is ramp up their Q.C. by one notch.
