MINI’s new crossover will arrive in Canadian dealerships in January, at a base price of $27,850 before tax, freight and delivery.
That’s for the 121-horsepower, base Cooper Countryman that should deliver a highway fuel consumption of 5.6 L/100 km. The turbocharged S Countryman benefits from 181 horsepower and will retail for $32,650. MINI claims a 0-100 km/h time of just 7.0 seconds for the S.
The Cooper S Countryman ALL4 gets the brand’s first all-wheel drive system and will carry an MSRP of $34,400.
Compared to a Cooper Hatchback, the Countryman is longer, wider and, obviously, taller. It offers up to 1,170 litres of cargo space, and just like other MINI vehicles, a choice of 11 colours, 7 upholstery variations and several option packages will be available.
