Unbelievable Comfort Beats out the Competition
The Quest is equipped with one of Nissan’s award winning VQ engines, this 3.5litre DOHC V6 delivers a wonderful 260 horsepower and 240-lb feet of torque. This engine is matched to an advanced Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission. Acceleration both off the line and when passing is extraordinarily smooth.

Even the brakes are incredibly even under my foot. I think that this is the most comfortable minivan I have driven.

The Quest offers tons of space for stuff behind the third row of seats and there is also a hidden cargo area. The storage area is independent of the fold flat third row of seats, so you can access it whenever you need it.

Minivan buyers are thinking family and that means that safety is imperative. The new Quest come with a complete array of airbags from dual stage front, roof mounted and curtain side-impact air bags. Active head restraints, vehicle dynamic and traction control, tire pressure monitoring and available blind spot warning systems also give families peace of mind.

This is my favourite minivan of the bunch to drive because of its unbelievable comfort and manoeuvrability. (Photo: Nissan)

The base model starts at around $30,000 and comes with cruise control with steering wheel mounted controls, power door locks and push button start. You need to go into the $39,000 price range to get an iPod/ USB connector and the navigation system.

Most people buying these vehicles have families in mind. It is a bit of a disappointment that the DVD entertainment system is not even available as an option on the base model and comes standard on this top of the line LE that retails just under $50,000.

Nissan is a bit off with some of the options and packaging – DVD system for kids and a power lift gate are at least available as options on the competition.

This is my favourite minivan of the bunch to drive because of its unbelievable comfort and manoeuvrability. I enjoy driving it so much, that I would forget about the exterior styling.
