SnowBaru day!
When not ice-and-snow-covered streetlight racing, the Legacy carries itself with dignity and poise. It's far from being sporty, but if that's what you are after, look into the 265-hp GT. If the 2.5 doesn't stir your inner fluids, try the 3.6R with a flat-6 good for 256 hp.

One other certainty is these two motors will chug a fair amount more fuel than the 2.5. Subaru says that the car will consume 9.1L of fuel city and 6.4 L/100 km highway. These numbers are always optimistic. I managed a combined average of 10.5L, which is still quite good considering the driving conditions... and me.

Reliability overall is on par with the other Japanese products and pricing is very competitive. (Photo: Matthieu Lambert/Auto123.com)

As you may have noticed through my passed reviews, I have a soft spot for Subarus and this Legacy is no different. With fuel numbers that are barely higher than a Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Mazda, why not consider the Legacy and bask in the wonders of AWD in the winter?

Reliability overall is on par with the other Japanese products and pricing is very competitive. I say sneak a peek in a Subaru dealer, especially when there's snow on the ground. You shan’t regret it.
