So yes, it may have taken several decades for Ford to win me over with its Explorer, but they got there in the end, and then as if that wasn’t enough, they slapped me upside the head with this amazing new EcoBoost engine.
This really is a significant milestone for the company and it makes me wonder what’s next. If you can power an SUV like this with this technology, then what can’t you power with it? Perhaps this is exactly what North America has been waiting for; the opportunity to downsize our love of big engines, and to replace them with smaller ones producing the same results.
