That's gonna hurt the competition. Badly.
Hyundai is ready to hit a grand slam in September with the arrival of the new 2012 Veloster in showrooms. The three-door coupe will offer unique looks, a host of features, sporty driving dynamics and outstanding fuel economy at a price that will crush the competition.

For just $18,999, Canadians will get 17-inch alloy wheels, a back-up camera, a 7-inch touch screen display with Bluetooth connectivity, heated seats, a telescopic steering wheel, fog lights, LED position lights, centre-mounted dual chrome exhaust tips and a sophisticated trip computer.

A direct-injected, 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder gasoline engine producing 138 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque will team up with either a 6-speed manual transmission or Hyundai’s first 6-speed EcoShift dual-clutch transmission ($1,400). As a result, the Veloster can achieve highway fuel efficiency of 4.9 L/100 km – better than the Honda CR-Z Hybrid.

Six airbags, disc brakes at all four wheels, Vehicle Stability Management and braking aids will combine to ensure maximum passenger safety.

Impressive, isn't it? Well, hold on tight, the best is yet to come.

An optional Tech Package ($3,500) will upgrade the Veloster with 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, satellite navigation, a premium 450-watt Dimension audio system with subwoofer, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, alloy pedals and automatic light control.
