Overall, the drivetrain has been reduced in weight to improve fuel economy—a reported 6.7 L/100 km city and 5.2 L/100 km highway. Those numbers aren't as good as the Hyundai Accent's, a prettier car with 20 more horses, but the Accent also has a higher sticker price. The Versa's the first Canadian vehicle to wear Nissan's Pure Drive badge, reserved for those that "use less fuel, are more efficient and emit less C02".
Built in Mexico, the 2012 Versa sedan will be available in Canadian showrooms by mid-August of this year.
