Another impressive Porsche
The leather sport seats are exceedingly supportive and fully adjustable, though electric lumbar support is optional. One thing to point out about these seats is that despite the side bolsters offering incredible lateral support, they are still wide enough for larger body frames. Ladies, this means that your boyfriend will be comfortable in the passenger seat, too.

For the first time since becoming an automotive journalist, I had someone actually sitting in the back seat of my Porsche. My girlfriend and her 8-year-old nephew jumped at the chance for a ride with me. The 8-year-old sat in the back seat because, really, who are they kidding? No adult would be comfortable back there.

Honestly, it’s great to have the seats on the rare occasions that you need them. But really, I think they're just best to use for extra storage. With the seats folded, you get about 155 litres. If you need a back seat, buy a Panamera.

Equipped with Porsche's 3.6L, horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine, it has an incredible 345 hp and 288 lb-ft of torque. This is more than enough power to propel this car from a stop.

Nobody seems to want to drive a standard anymore. I wonder how many of those people have ever driven the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) automated transmission?

Yup, I am finally driving a car that I would rather have as an automatic. It's just over $4,600 for the PDK, and worth every penny. The shifts are extremely fast, powerful and smooth. To put it in perspective, the manual does 0-100 km/h in 5.0 seconds, and the PDK can accomplish it in 4.8. Though I don’t recommend it (but I know we all do it), driving in high heels is a lot easier when you don’t have to work a clutch.

Long ago exclusively offered on the 911 Turbo, the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) intelligent all-wheel drive system is standard on both the Carrera 4 and the 4S. Not only does this enhance the already incredible driving dynamics, but it also adds a dimension of safety if you plan to drive in the snow or on wet roads – perfect for road conditions here in Canada.
