If it ain’t broke…

Pros: The Nissan Armada is one of the largest SUVs on the market with premium seating for eight and is a very comfortable on- or off-road vehicle.

Cons: The body style and essentially the entire vehicle hasn’t really changed since its introduction as it’s still in its first generation. It’s in definite need of an update.

2015 Nissan Armada Price and Fuel Economy: There is only one version of the Nissan Armada available, the Platinum model. It starts at $63,708. As there is only one version, there is only one engine and a set of fuel economy numbers to go with it. Those numbers are as follows: 19.2L/100km in the city and 13.4L/100km on the highway.

Improvements and changes: There have been absolutely no major updates or changes to the 2015 Nissan Armada. Instead, we are all very much looking forward to the next generation SUV that is supposed to be based on the next-generation Titan. Bring it on.

Cargo/towing/payload capacity: Maximum towing capacity with the trailer-towing package is 4,082kg (7,000lb). Cargo volume behind the third row seat is 566 litres. With the third row folded down the total space is 1,605.5 litres. Maximum payload is 870kg (1,917lb).

Powertrain: The 2015 Nissan Armada utilizes a DOHC, 32-valve, 5.6L V8 that produces 317 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque. Controlling the motor is a 5-speed automatic with a two-speed transfer case attached. The Armada comes standard with 4x4.

Safety: Dual front, fount mounted side impact and full-length side curtain air bags. Child-proof rear door locks, the LATCH system for anchoring child seats, and three point seat belts are standard. Four-wheel disc brakes with traction control, stability control, electronic brake force distribution, and roll mitigation are standard. Tire Pressure Monitoring System, front and rear sonar systems with distance sensing curies control are standard.

Comparing the 2015 Nissan Armada: Ford Expedition, Toyota Sequoia, Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban, GMC Yukon/Yukon XL.
