The tC is on fire!

While the sporty tC coupe remains one of Scion's two best-selling models in Canada, it has been overshadowed by the more aggressive and sensational FR-S ever since the latter made its debut. At the 2015 Quebec City Auto Show, the company decided to strike back with the launch of the eye-catching 2015 Scion tC Release Series 9.0.

“We don't want to abandon the tC as it has proven very successful for us,” says Romaric Lartilleux, product specialist at Toyota Canada Inc. “This time we have upped the ante by taking the Release Series a step further than we have ever done in the past.”

Scion called on legendary car tuner Jeremy Lookofsky of Cartel Customs in California to create this exclusive new model. It's the first Lookofsky-Scion customization project to be offered to the public (after eight Scion concept cars) and the first Scion Release Series vehicle with a two-tone exterior -- a blistering magma orange paired with sleek black.

Designed to appeal to drivers who feel at home both on the show floor and the open road, the 2015 Scion tC Release Series 9.0 features a centrally mounted TRD exhaust, Cartel Customs-designed aero kit, high-profile rear spoiler, blacked out badging, and stylish black alloy wheels.

The unique colour scheme carries over to the interior, where you will find orange accents and orange stitching woven throughout the cockpit.

Production is limited to 2,000 units, and only 100 of those -- with an externally facing Release Series numbering badge located on the back of the rear-view mirror -- will be available in Canada, so hurry now to get yours. The base MSRP is $25,760 for the 6-speed manual version and $27,060 for the 6-speed automatic version.
