Same aluminum body with extra luxury and capability

Ford has announced the addition of a new top-of-the-line model to its F-150 lineup for 2016. Set to go on sale this winter, the F-150 Limited is the safest, most advanced, and most luxurious truck Ford has ever built.

Customers can expect even more standard features including:

  • SYNC 3 with AppLink;
  • 360-degree camera system;
  • Adaptive cruise control;
  • Active park assist;
  • Massaging front seats;
  • 22” alloy wheels.

Under the hood of the new Ford F-150 Limited is a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine rated at 365 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. It can tow up to 10,100 lbs (4,581 kg), and partners with a 6-speed automatic transmission featuring sport and tow/haul modes. What’s more, 4x4 models use a 4-wheel drive system with 2-speed transfer case.

Other goodies include chrome front tow hooks, a panoramic sunroof, power folding running boards, remote start and tailgate release, as well as a 10-speaker Sony sound system with subwoofer and single CD player.

Inside this upscale F-150 is a laser-engraved VIN plate on the centre console lid including production number. Unique front and rear floor mats, unique instrument cluster face, genuine fiddleback eucalyptus, and aluminum interior accents and unique scuff plates with ice blue backlighting further distinguish the Limited model.

With regard to safety, the 2016 Ford F-150 Limited features a blind spot monitoring system with rear cross traffic alert and a new, optional Pro Trailer Backup Assist that makes it easier for drivers to back a trailer up to launch a boat or park in a driveway (a segment first). A lane-keeping system is available, too.
