The new 2017 Toyota Prius v combines the efficiency and advanced technology of Toyota’s proven Hybrid Synergy Drive with tremendous versatility, making it a great hybrid crossover for Canadian families.
“Like every model in the Prius family, the Prius v is built around the world’s most popular and proven hybrid powertrain – delivering a winning combination of remarkable efficiency and emissions performance, plus driving fun, comfort, reliability and safety,” says Cyril Dimitris, Vice-President, Toyota Canada Inc. “Find out what thousands of Canadian drivers already know: the Toyota Prius v delivers all the benefits of a crossover and more.”
In addition to generous comfort, convenience, technology, and standard safety features, every 2017 Toyota Prius v offers four driver-selectable powertrain options (Normal, Power, ECO, and EV for short distances) to suit any driving style and road/weather condition.
The aforementioned Hybrid Synergy Drive is built around a 1.8L 4-cylinder Atkinson Cycle engine and provides the Prius v with 136 net system horsepower while achieving a combined fuel consumption of 5.6L/100km.
As for styling, the new Prius v is not quite as extreme-looking as the fully redesigned 2016 Toyota Prius, but it’s sleek and striking nonetheless. Inside, there’s 40% more cargo space than in the regular hatchback.
