2019 is of course the Year of the Kona Electric for the Korean automaker, but aside from that all-electric crossover there are two PHEVs worthy of mention bearing the Hyundai name. The little IONIQ Electric Plus ($32,299) aims to please consumers who want more from a hybrid car and are loathe to depend on an all-electric powertrain.
The more conventional choice is the Hyundai Sonata PHEV midsize sedan ($44,799); it’s also the pricier choice in comparison with the IONIQ.
