Stark-raving mad, completely insane, totally mental, and Plum Crazy! They’re not all car colours but the last one is and it’s one of the most famous hues ever made available on a production car.

FCA’s reintroducing this shade of purple for a limited period of time on selected versions of their Dodge Challenger and Chargers models. You might guess that the crazy-ass 707-horsepower Hellcat and R/T Scat Pack models will be some of the lucky ones.

Dodge is debuting the return of one of its most revered colours with this year’s Woodward Dream Cruise, which is taking place this upcoming weekend in the Metro Detroit area. As an FYI, the Cruise is the world’s largest one-day automotive event, attracting 1.5 million people and 40,000 classic cars.

Plus Crazy was introduced in 1970 on the Chargers and Challengers of the day and continues to be one of the most desired shades on the now hyper-classic and sought-after cars from the “Mopar-or-no-car” legacy.

If you’ve always dreamed of owning one of these purple rides, you’ve got the remainder of 2016 to put your order in. If you miss out, you’ll have to wait until the next round…

To give you an idea, Plum Crazy was last offered on the 2007, 2013-14 Dodge Charger and on the 2010, 2013-14 Dodge Challenger.
