Chris Dyson and his codriver Guy Smith won the American Le Mans Series' race on Saturday, in Lime Rock, after exchanging the lead six times with Lucas Luhr and Klaus Graf.
"It was great fun. Lucas and I were going back and forth from the get-go. It was all about where you positioned yourself. It felt a bit like a video game," Dyson said of the battle.
Their teammates Humaid Al Masaood and Steven Kane, competing their first ALMS race, completed the LMP1 podium.
In GT, Joey Hand and Dirk Müller extended BMW's winning streak to three with a undisputed class victory in Lime Rock.
Patrick Long and Jörg Bergmeister finished in second position in their Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. While they were always in sight of the leaders, they never had the opportunity to overtake them.
David Murry and Anthony Lazzaro completed the GT podium.
The LMPCÂ win went to Eric Lux and Elton Julian ahead of Gunnar Jeannette and Ricardo Gonzalez.
The next race will take place in Mosport on July 22-24.
