Former four-time World Champion Alain Prost (Dacia), Jean-Philippe Dayraut (MINI), and former F1 driver Olivier Panis (Skoda) continued their epic battle last weekend in Round 2 of the Andros Trophy ice racing series in Andorra.

It was the first victory for the Dacia Lodgy “Glace” of Prost. Meanwhile, Olivier Panis had to be content with his performance, his Skoda Fabia having to carry 60kg of ballast for having won one week ago in Val Thorens.

The 1997 F1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve explained that he's happy to feel more and more comfortable driving an ice racing car.

“The worst part in qualifying is to lose six places for just 310ths of a second or one place for just 9/1000ths of a second!” Villeneuve said.

“That's what happened to me Friday and Saturday, and each time it was difficult to accept! But I'm starting to really understand how things work. I slowly get to grips with the new car and how to adapt my driving style. The car really works well with very precise settings, so we're always right on the edge. My sixth place finish makes me really happy and I look forward to the rest of the season,” Villeneuve added.
