The fifth race meeting of the 2010-2011 Andros Trophy ice racing series scheduled for this weekend in Lans-en-Vercors has been postponed due to the warm temperatures and a lack of ice.
The unusual fair weather in France during the last few days could not guarantee sufficient levels of ice in the ski resort of Lans-en-Vercors.
Series’ organisers decided to postpone the event until February 11th and 12th.
The next round will be held in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges on Sunday, January 23rd.
Four-time F1 World Champion Alain Prost (Dacia Duster) tops the overall standings ahead of Jean-Philippe Dayraut (BMW).
Canadian Jacques Villeneuve (Skoda Fabia) currently stands in 10th position.
The Andros Trophy is remarkably well balanced this year. Former Renault F1 driver Romain Grosjean became on Sunday the sixth different race winner.
