Canadian Maryeve Dufault has completed three days of testing at the Daytona International Speedway behind the wheel of the No.12 car of Tony Marks Racing in preparation for the upcoming ARCA season opener in February.
For Dufault, it was her first experience on the impressive 2.5-mile superspeedway and she was quite please with her performance at the end of the second day.
She ended up with the 15th fastest time overall (49.203 seconds) in the field of 50+ competitors.
Thursday afternoon, ARCA Racing Series’ officials opened up the legendary track to drafting. For Dufault, it was first experience of drafting in heavy traffic.
Part of her program with Tony Marks Racing was to do qualifying runs and set-up changes so she would be confident when comes her qualifying run, since ARCA rules allows only the first 30 entries to be automatically qualified according to the owners’ standings.
The No.12 car will need to be qualified among the 13 spots left on the starting grid if Dufault wants to be part of the race that will be held on February 12th.
