Three drivers are still in contention for this year's Formula Atlantic title; Jonathan Bomarito, Jonathan Summerton and Markus Niemela will go head-to-head in what will be the last race of the 2008 season in Road Atlanta.

Jonathan Bomarito, of Mathiasen Motorsports, leads by only 8 points over Jonathan Summerton of Newman Wachs Racing and also has three victories this year.

To take the title, Bomarito only has to finish in second place, regardless of how well Summerton or Niemela perform.

Both Summerton and Markus Niemela, of Brooks Associates Racing, are fighting for rookie of the year honours. Summerton has a two-point advantage over his Finnish rival, and has taken a pair of victories.

Pacific Coast Motorsports' Carl Skerlong, who crashed heavily during Tuesday's promoter test day at Road Atlanta and suffered a concussion, will not be present for the race.
