Next month at the Geneva Motor Show, Audi will host the world premiere of its first-ever SUV to receive the RS treatment, the all-new Audi RS Q3. It will be based on the concept that originally appeared at Auto China 2012 in Beijing.

Similar to the RS3 Sportback and TT RS, the RS Q3 boasts a 2.5L 5-cylinder engine rated at 310 horsepower. It sprints from 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited).

RS-specific design cues include a high-gloss black honeycomb front grille and RS bumpers, the front treatment adding a quattro emblem in the air intake. A sports suspension lowers the body by 25 mm, while cargo capacity increases from 356 to 1,261 L with the rear seats folded.

The standard interior inlays are piano black, but aluminium race or carbon inlays designed by quattro GmbH are also available.

The Audi RS Q3 is expected to go on sale across Europe this fall. Plans for North America have yet to be announced.
