Just in time for lower fuel prices and Christmas shopping, Bentley's announced a "T" designated version of their Azure model. A four-seat convertible, Bentley says the Azure T promises driver-focused performance with the ability to transport four adults in first-class, open-top luxury.
Power comes from a high performance version of the automaker's 6.8 liter V8 engine with twin turbochargers. The engine sends 500 horsepower to the road while rolling on a set of 20-inch 5-spoke wheels. Other styling elements include Le Mans style front wing vents, a darkened grille, 'jewel' style fuel filler cap and a selection of 42 exterior colors.
Bentley's Stuart McCullough says "the Azure's proportions provided us with the ideal platform to work with when creating the new Azure T. The prominent haunches and 'supermodel' body inspired our designers to create a new interpretation of a Bentley convertible with the accent placed on a more muscular, sporting stance."
"The new Azure T reflects our passion for creating the world's most exhilarating and prestigious convertibles that, true to the Bentley T tradition, blend sophistication with a powerful presence."
Drivers can expect 0-60 in about 5.2 seconds with a top speed near 180 miles per hour, taken in from a cockpit trimmed in one of 25 available diamond-quilted hides. Shoppers can also choose form one of 8 unbleached veneers and listen to their tunes via a standard iPod and USB interface.
