The University of Toronto's Blue Sky Solar Racing Team recently unveiled the B-7 car that will take part in the 2013 World Solar Challenge from October 6-13 in Australia.

Made of carbon fibre, the ultra-lightweight B-7 will race 3,000 kilometres across the Australian outback in a collective effort to promote sustainable mobility. Participants will start in Darwin on October 6th, and cross the finish line in Adelaide on the 13th.

It will be Blue Sky Solar Racing's 4th attempt at finishing in the top 10 teams (out of 50 or so) at the World Solar Challenge.

Also competing in this year's event will be students from the Ecole de technologie supérieure de Montréal and University of Calgary.
