Like many automakers, BMW Canada offers a comprehensive Driver Training program for consumers with renowned driving instructors. Today, Philippe Létourneau was appointed as its new Chief Driving Instructor.

The former professional race car driver most recently provided counsel to some of the most unsafe drivers as a judge on the hit TV show "Canada's Worst Driver". In his new role, he will apply his knowledge to run all areas of BMW's Driver Training program, including curriculum development, in-classroom and in-car instruction.

Philippe will make his official debut as Chief Driving Instructor at a series of upcoming BMW xDrive Events where participants will experience the unique handling of the BMW X series of vehicles. The tour is scheduled to stop in Vancouver (April 29 - May 1), Montreal (May 27 - 29) and Toronto (June 10-12, 17-19).

In the past, Philippe also gave advanced driving lessons at the Jim Russell and Ferrari driving schools in addition to training a number of Quebec police officers.
